Eminem is gearing up to act once again – having been cast in 50 Cent’s upcoming new drama BMF (aka Black Mafia Family) as real-life teenage FBI informant White Boy Rick.
The successful and well-known rapper will cameo in one of the episodes of this new Starz series. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson released a statement saying:
“I’m honored and appreciative of my good friend Em for supporting my new show ‘BMF’. We couldn’t do a show based in Detroit without incorporating the legend that is Eminem.”
For those who haven’t seen a documentary on White Boy Rick or the 2018 film, Rick Wershe Jr. was an FBI informant in his early teenage years. During this time, he was a part of a Detroit gang where he some drugs and guns – all while feeding information to the FBI. At the age of 17, the FBI dropped White Boy Rick and arrested him for possession of cocaine. After, he was sentenced to life in prison. Wershe Jr. has since been paroled and released as of June 2020 – at the age of 50.
