What they are not too effective at is changing what happens on television and film. Ask the fans of Game of Thrones who assumed that a heavily signed petition was going to get HBO to remake the final season. It was a nice effort but it didn’t work, nor will it.
Now fans are trying to impose their will on the fate of Tony Stark. Recently a petition has been circulated to get Marvel to bring Tony Stark back from the dead. This was after his demise in Endgame. The petition, which was initiated from change.org, has gathered 18,000 signatures thus far. The main argument for fans is that it is unfair that Tony will not see his daughter grow up. While this is a true statement, the Russo’s have made it clear that Tony will not be coming back. Mainly because Robert Downey, Jr. is finished with the character. He has moved on perhaps it is time the fans move on too.
Do you feel a petition will make Marvel change their stance on Tony Stark or is this just a vehicle for fans to vent what they wanted to happen? Share your thoughts with GVNation…or start a petition to do so.
