Fast and The Furious Star Michelle Rodriguez Responds To ‘Outer Space’ Comments

Could Fast and the Furious go to outer space? It seems as if that is where they are going. After all, the franchise started as car races, but has since diverted away from that. There’s been physically impossible jumps from reality featured in this franchise. Even the spinoff, Hobbs and Shaw; took a quite sci-fi approach to Idris Elba’s character. So, what’s to stop them going from space?

Fast and the Furious star Michelle Rodriguez commented on some out-of-this-world rumors that Ludacris had dropped months ago:

“Oh, no way. How did you guys find that out? See what happens? People start talking behind the scenes, man. When a movie doesn’t come out and forget about it, things get out. Nobody was supposed to know that…Oh, well, no, I’m not, I’m not, I’m not lucky enough to hit space, but we did get a female writer and showed a lot of love, I think, on this one. Thanks to…Justin Lin. We were able to, to find a little bit more attention and love for the girls in the movie. And so I’m really hopeful that that, that shows through in the final product.”

Collider seems to take this as confirmation. I’m going to say it’s a loose speculation at best. But, what about you guys? Would you want to see Fast and the Furious go to space? The nest Furious film will hit theaters on April 2, 2021.
