The Wolfhard family will team up for a new sci-fi animation series. Next-Gen will bring Finn and Nick Wolfhard together with The Witcher’s Anya Chalotra for this futuristic show.
Next-Gen will be set in the future in a utopia, which will become threatened by a nanotech war. The show will follow the twins who, for the most part; live normal lives. That is when they’re not acting as nanotech-enhanced superheroes. This show will be designed as a “multi-platform, multi-tech experience”. Viewers will have the ability to download an AR app. It will enable the players’ use of nanotech powers in order to battle creatures on the show. You’ll also be able to decipher what is fact and fiction in the world of nanotech on the show.
Jetpack Distribution has acquired the global rights for the series. It’s currently in pre-production and being shopped around to buyers.
J.D. Matonti of Jetpack Distribution put out a statement:
“We intend to take you to a visual place never seen before in the futuristic utopia of ‘New-Gen,” said J.D. Matonti. “Nanotech governs this rich world and the superheroes who dwell in it. Finn Wolfhard, Nick Wolfhard and Anya Chalotra, young talent breathe life into the relatable lead characters as we move from comics distributed by Marvel to animated series and other multimedia platforms.”
