Fiona Glascott Cast As Younger Professor McGonagall in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”9657″ img_size=”900×600″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]According to reports, the upcoming Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will feature a young Minerva McGonagall. Originally, the character was played by Dame Maggie Smith in the Harry Potter films and Fiona Glascott will play the role in the new movie.

Professor McGonagall was the Head of Gryffindor and was a stern, but fair teacher who fans will remember that she had a soft spot for our beloved main characters. It’ll be interesting to see Glascott’s interpretation of the character before we see her in her later years. We know that McGonagall started her career at Hogwarts in the 1950s and Fantastic Beasts take place in the 20s, so where McGonagall was at this time, we are unsure.

Are you excited to see Professor McGonagall? And how do you feel about Fiona Glascott being cast? Let us know!

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald comes out in theater November 16, 2018.
