Are you looking for a movie that is a mixture of Atomic Blonde, the Bourne franchise, James Bond, and Marvel? That’s what it looks like we’re getting with the MCU’s Black Widow. Marvel Studios just released the first trailer for their upcoming film. The Black Widow movie will be a prequel, since Natasha Romanoff sacrificed herself in Avengers: Endgame. It will also be the second female-led movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Take a look below!

Black Widow will feature Natasha making the decision to stop running from her past. This means we are meeting people from her life pre-Avengers. People like Yelena, Melena, and yes, the Red Guardian. The “family” (nuclear family) is back together and they are going to be going up against some heavy hitters, it seems like. We’re getting our first look at Taskmaster, Natasha’s white suit, and more in this wonderfully done trailer.
Scarlett Johansson has been Black Widow since Iron Man 2 and it almost seems redundant to have a solo movie now. But, after that trailer, I’m even more excited and I am hoping that regardless of Natasha’s death in the MCU, that this could pave the way for more Black Widow story. Whether that be with Yelena or someone else.
