[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The mastermind behind The Hobbit and the Lord of the Ring novels, J.R.R. Tolkien; is getting his own biopic with Nicholas Hoult portraying the famous author in his younger years. The upcoming Tolkien film will give fans of his work an insight on his inspiration for writing and a window into a life that people may not know too much about.
Via Hoult’s Instagram account, we can see a few pics of the upcoming movie and while there isn’t much to tell what the tone of the movie will be, we can all agree that Hoult is looking good in his role and I believe this is an actor who deserves more screen time. Tolkien is being compared closely to Goodbye Christopher Robin, which can give you a little insight as t what to expect.
Below is the official synopsis:
“Tolkien explores the formative years of the orphaned author as he finds friendship, love and artistic inspiration among a group of fellow outcasts at school. This takes him into the outbreak of World War I, which threatens to tear the “Fellowship” apart. All of these experiences would inspire Tolkien to write his famous Middle-earth novels.”
Tolkien hits theaters May 10th.
