Just like The Defenders saw a quick teaser of The Punisher at the end of its 8th episode, Iron Fist season 2 reveals a firsthand look at Daredevil season three. You simply have to watch it below:
As you can see from the thirty-second clip, we are expecting a much darker Matt Murdock in season three than we have seen before. In season one and most of two, we knew Matt. We knew he was a good Catholic boy just trying to do right. Even The Defenders saw him attempting to put his life back together, after everything blew up in Daredevil season two’s finale. But, it seems that Matt is no longer denying who he actually is, having completely lost faith it seems in the justice system and maybe even himself.
“I’d rather die as the devil than live as Matt Murdock.”
What does this mean? Is this who we are looking at for the rest of the season? Matt’s Catholic roots are still present, as this is a confession he is expressing in the trailer. I don’t believe we will be expecting any happy reunion between he, Foggy, and Karen, nor Nelson & Murdock happening again, based on this footage. I swear, it sends absolute chills down my spine, because we can hear the darkness that is plaguing Matt right now. The tone of season three is a dark one and after Iron Fist, we have the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen in our sights.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
