I was a big fan of what Apple TV+’s For all Mankind did in season one. Not only did it rewrite history and imagine a world where Russia got to the moon before America. But, it also corrected history and moved forward with the Mercury 13 program instead of not doing any of it. For all Mankind normalized women in space and on the moon – something that wasn’t the case in real life. In fact, the first woman on the moon isn’t planned to happen until 2024. So, kudos to For All Mankind for correcting that.
Apple TV+ has released a brand new trailer for their second season of For All Mankind. Set in the 80s, the music is great and the feel of this season is exciting. Unfortunately, there’s still trouble afoot as the space race never ended. The battle for the moon with Russia continues and a battle may very well launch the world into World War 3. Going into space is one of humankind’s greatest accomplishments, but in season two of the show, it may have been our worst mistake.
