Fortnite Players will have to do “Whatever it takes” in the upcoming crossover event between the infamous battle royal title and the largest Marvel Cinematic Universe movie to date.
Epic Games have teased the latest crossover event with a tweet (seen below) which included both the movie’s tagline “Whatever it takes” as well as the hashtag #FortniteXAvengers. The event will begin on April 25th which just so happens to be the first date of public screenings for the film.

The tweet sent both Fortnite and Marvel fans alike crazy with the attached image of Fortnite character holding Cap’s famous shield. Unfortunately Epic didn’t share any real details about the event but that doesn’t stop us speculating does it? I’d guess that Cap’s shield will be an equipable weapon not too dissimilar to the Thanos crossover event the game had last year for Avengers: Infinity War which included an Infinity Gauntlet that players could pick up and use. That event was received well by fans apart from the gauntlet being deemed a little too powerful and getting nerfed in order to help make the matches a little easier on less experienced players.
It came about due to Avengers: Infinity War directors, the Russo Brothers reaching out to Epic inquiring about a collaboration after they took a shine to the game whilst editing the movie. It appears they are still fans with Avengers: Endgame getting its own event.
Many fans are anticipated to see some Avengers inspired skins added to the game and whilst that wasn’t a feature of the Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos crossover there is always a chance it could happen here.
