And they’re only a few months away from returning! We will see the return of The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, and Family Guy. Fox has announced that the three will return on Sunday, September 29th. Joining the trio will be new animated comedy called Bless the Harts.
The Simpsons will return with its 31st season on the 29th at 8/7c, followed by newcomer Bless the Harts at 8:30/7:30c, then at 9/8c Bob’s Burgers will come back for its 10th season, and Family Guy will arrive at 9:30/8:30c.
For Bless the Harts, here’s the description:
“A group of people living in the South who are poor in money, but rich in family and friends”.
Kristen Wiig stars as Jenny Hart, Maya Rudolph as Betty Hart, Jillian Bell as Violet Hart, and Ike Barinholtz as Wayne Edwards. Apparently, the series is “loosely set” in the same universe as King of the Hill.
Network President Charlie Collier said earlier this year about the series:
“If you’re an animator, there is no better place to showcase your work than Sunday nights on Fox. Is the network that set the standard for primetime animation. The Simpsons and Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers are the heavyweights of the genre, and we’re intent on finding the next generation of culture-defining animated comedies to join them.”
