Frank Grillo is returning for a sixth Purge film. After playing Sergeant Leo Barnes in The Purge: Anarchy and The Purge: Election Year, we haven’t seen Grillo in the successful horror film franchise. That’s going to change, as Grillo’s confirmed his return and assures that a script for The Purge 6 has been completed.
“Committed! We committed to doing that— ‘Purge 6’ with [James DeMonaco] directing. It’s based on the Leo Barnes character. I’m excited. He’s going to send me the script. He just finished it. So, yeah, I’m really psyched about that. I love doing the ‘Purge’ movies…I’m psyched, they called me and said James wanted to direct one more and I’m like, ‘Don’t even tell me. I’m in.’”
As we find out more, we will let you know. In the meantime, you can check out the Purge franchise – which, I will admit, the best films [for me] are the ones Grillo is involved in. So, to hear Grillo is back, that’s exciting news.
