[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”9101″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Frank Grillo’s Crossbones was surely promoted before Captain America: Civil War, but we never really got anything of substance from the character’s lack of screen time. We saw a fair amount of Brock Rumlow in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but considering how much the villain (now scarred up from a building falling on him) was teased, he was if anything simply used as just a plot device to begin the descent of disarray that the Avengers would be sent through.
According to Grillo, we’re actually going to be seeing Crossbones in Avengers 4:
“He makes an appearance in the next Avengers movie, but it’s a flashback.”
Whether they actually brought Grillo in and put on makeup for a flashback scene or this is footage that was previously taken and never used, we aren’t sure. The scene is most likely short, but it’s interesting to wonder why Crossbones would be in a flashback at all. Could it have to do something with Bucky’s past, as Rumlow was a Hydra agent. Or, will it be Wanda remember the day she blew him up and the event that caused so many to turn their backs on the Avengers? We aren’t sure.
What are your opinions on the little bit of screen time Crossbones got? Would you have liked to see more of his character?
