Just take a look inside my bedroom. Don’t, but if you did, you’d see a collection of these little dolls. With marketing and branding knowing how popular these toys are, it shouldn’t make sense that it would want to be capitalized on.
Funko Pop dolls are so popular, they’ve even entered the realm of video games. Now, a new one has been announced. Universal Games and Digital Platforms announced Funko Pop! Blitz, a new “match-3 puzzle video game for mobile.”
The game will feature characters like Back to the Future, Shrek, How to Train Your Dragon, and more. Everything will be revealed at the upcoming Funko Funkast panel at SDCC on July 18th.
The game will be the basic match-3 mobile game that has come before, with three characters matched to earn points. You’ll complete quests and get to see adorable Funko Pops. This game will also include Blitz mode, where a meter will fill as players match – which will disappear five characters for a temporary time. This will allow for simpler matching.
