Gal Gadot’s Hedy Lamarr Series Lands at Apple TV+

Gal Gadot will be playing the late actress and inventor Hedy Lamarr for a series on Apple TV+.

The show will be eight episodes. Although it was originally set up at Showtime, it will air on the Apple streaming service.

Hedy Lamarr (the series) will follow the life of the actress who was once named “the most beautiful woman in the world”. It will concentrate on the thirty years from her escape from pre-war Vienna to her rise in “the Golden Age of Hollywood”. It will also showcase her eventual fall at the dawn of the Cold War. It’s described as: “an epic tale of an immigrant woman both ahead of her time and very much victim to it.”

The series will also explore Lamarr’s contributions as an inventor. Lamarr and composer George Antheil patented a frequency-hopping system during WWII; the two were inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame in 2014.
