Gadot will star and executive produce this show, which comes from The Affair’s co-creator Sarah Treem, The Handmaid’s Tale’s producer Warren Littlefield, and Endeavor Content.
Showtime’s Jana Winograde, the President of Entertainment; released a statement:
“The life of Hedy Lamarr was a truly fascinating one. She stood at the forefront of many issues that challenge women and our society today. In Gal Gadot, we have found the transcendent actress to portray the deeply complex Lamarr. And with the award-winning talents of Sarah Treem and Warren Littlefield, this is going to be a special series.”
According to Deadline, Gadot had wanted to do a project about Lamarr. Lamarr had been referred to as the real-life Jewish “Wonder Woman”, as her inventions led us to WiFi and GPS. Gadot is Israel-born, so it seems that the actress has an admiration for Lamarr, which will certainly translate on screen.
As we find out more, we will let you know![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
