‘Game of Thrones’ Kit Harington Checks Himself Into Rehab for Stress and Alcohol Related Issues

For fan’s who thought the final season of Game of Thrones was stressful to them, it appears that it was also stressful to star Kit Harington. It is being reported by PageSix that prior to the series final being shown, Harington checked himself into a rehab center for stress and Alcohol. According to their report, the end of Game of Thrones hit him hard. This should probably come as no surprise. The actor has spent the better part of the last 10 years with the series and the role of Jon Snow. However, it does bring with it a sense of irony. Kit and his wife Rose did a bit during his opening monologue when he hosted SNL about how he would cope after the series. It proved to be foreshadowing of things to come. Per the report, he has been seeking treatment there since May 19th:

The British actor has been undergoing psychological coaching, practicing mindful meditation and cognitive behavioral therapy to combat stress and deal with negative emotions at the facility, which costs over $120,000 a month. His actress wife Rose Leslie, 32, whom he met on the set of Game of Thrones and played Jon Snow’s Wildling companion Ygritte, is being ‘extremely supportive,’ we’re told.

That is good news as family support is important when dealing with such issues. It is also being reported that he has been allowed outside the facility for breaks. He has been seen locally in Connecticut at book stores and health and fitness centers. It is hoped that the peace and quiet, in combination with his therapy and the support of his family will help him resolve whatever issues he is dealing with. Witnesses say he is looking well and is focusing on his health. Needless to say, we here at GVNation wish Kit nothing but the best and we will update as any more facts become available.
