I never thought when I began watching HBO’s Game of Thrones that Jaime Lannister would go on to be one of my favorite characters on the show. My colleague Kevin Scott did a fantastic job highlighting the transformation that the Lannister brother had throughout the series. As we look forward to the final season of the show based on the books by George R.R. Martin, A Song of Fire and Ice; some of the actors from the series began voicing their thoughts and feelings ahead of the series finale.

In a post to the Huffington Post, Jaime Lannister’s actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau expressed his thoughts surrounding the finale:

“I wrote the writers when I finished reading and just said, ‘I don’t think you could’ve done a better job at finishing this story.’ To me, it was very satisfying but also very surprising and all the things that I was hoping for. It still made sense. It wasn’t like one of those where the killer is suddenly revealed in the last act and you go, ‘Oh! I didn’t see that coming.’ Here, they’ve done a really, really good job.”

Both he and Daenerys actress Emilia Clarke both expressed how heartbreaking and intense the final season will be. As much as I desperately want to see who actually wins the “game of thrones”, I’m a little scared honestly!

A release date for season 8 has not yet been released, but we’ll let you know when we know!
