MAJOR SPOILERS FOR INFINITY WAR #2 AHEAD.
While Gamora failed to kill Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, she did manage to slain the titan in the comic book run Infinity Wars. Although the warrior has claimed the Power Stone and now holds it within her new sword, she is on a journey to capture the other stones. Even if that means slicing down some of Marvel’s major characters. In Infinity Wars #2, Gamora comes face to face with Adam Warlock. And she isn’t holding anything back. Knowing that Warlock would not give up the Soul Stone, she kills him with her lethal sword, throwing it and slicing his head right off.
“I would speak with you Warlock, but I know you will die before yielding. So let’s get on with it. You’ll come back, anyway. You always do.” Gamora says to him. A cocoon then appears where Warlock’s slain body lay, implying that he will indeed be back.
Infinity Wars #2 is written by Gerry Duggan and drawn by Mike Deodato Jr.
