[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”9454″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]General Antiope’s demise was too soon, but we thankfully will get another chance to see Robin Wright as the general on screen in Wonder Woman 1984. Wright confirmed that her character will be returning, which was at first a rumor months ago. We’ll see her in a flashback, which for fans of the character is better than nothing.

Speaking with Variety, Wright spoke about Wonder Woman and what the character meant for everyone in modern times:

“It’s going to be an iconic time: a little Wonder Woman in the vortex of this movement. And what Wonder Woman, who was created in the ‘40s, what does she symbolize? Justice and equality and speaking the truth. So to be a part of that enhancement, as Wonder Woman’s general, it’s so great.”

Wonder Woman 1984 will take place in the 80s at the height of the Cold War. We’ll see our heroine Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman facing off against Kristen Wiig’s Barba Ann Minerva aka Cheetah. Wonder woman 1984 will not only see the return of Wright, but Chris Pine, as well; though how his character is brought back remains unknown.

Wonder Woman 1984 was originally set to come out November 2019 but the date has since been moved to June 2020.
