Giorgia Whigham, Max Burkholder, and Scott Grimes Join Peacock’s TV Series Adaptation of Seth MacFarlane’s Ted Films

You may remember the raunchy films based around a foul-mouthed stuffed bear and his best friend, but now there’s an upcoming TV series based on the Ted movies. Created by Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, the comedy series will see the return of MacFarlane as the voice of Ted.

In addition, Giorgia Whigham, Max Burkholder, and Scott Grimes join the cast. In addition, MacFarlane will direct, write, co-showrun, and executive produce all of the episodes. Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh will also act as co-showrunners and write and executive produce.

The Ted series will show on Peacock and will take place in 1993, which “Ted’s moment of fame has passed”, which leaves him with 16-year-old John Bennet, played by Burkholder. Bennet is a child of working class parents residing in Boston. Whigham will play Blaire Bennet, John’s cousin, while Grimes will play Matty Bennett.
