Glass’s James McAvoy Experienced a Life-Threatening Infection Last Year

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”14228″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Between his role as Professor X and Dennis/The Horde, James McAvoy is one of the most talented men in Hollywood. But, the actor had a brush with death in 2018, when he had surgery for a biopsy on his lungs that should have been routine, but ended up with a life-threatening infection.

McAvoy commented:

“It nearly killed me. It was very scary. A terrifying f-cking thing to go through.”

This scary brush with death certainly changed the actor’s perception on life, especially considering that he’s now a parent. In regards to setting his priorities, McAvoy is more selective about the projects he takes and is sure to get movies closer to home.

“Don’t get me wrong, I’m not slagging off my industry,” he said. “I love my job. Love it… But there’s got to be more balance.”

I know I can speak for many that we are glad that McAvoy is okay now and respect his new perception since his surgery.
