This is it. Today is the day. After nine seasons of The Walking Dead, Andrew Lincoln’s time on the show has finally come to a close. Tonight will feature Rick Grimes’s last episode ever for the hit AMC show and as we saw from the trailer, it’s going to be a real callback to the first episode of the series. How will the show last after his departure? We’ll just have to wait and see.
The Walking Dead Twitter page, via Greg Nicotero; shared a picture of Andrew Lincoln and Jon Bernthal from the actor’s final episode. Bernthal returns tonight to reprise his role as Shane Walsh, Rick’s former friend, who he later killed after Shane admittedly, went a little crazy. While we were all curious as to how TWD was going to incorporate a character who had died in season two, it seems that their scene together will be a remake of the original scene introducing the characters; sitting in their patrol car, eating, and shooting the breeze.
