Guardians of the Galaxy Director James Gunn Could Write and Direct ‘Suicide Squad 2’

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”8058″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]You know the old saying, when one door closes, another door opens. James Gunn may have been fired by Disney and no longer set to be involved in the MCU, it seems that there is a rumor circulating now that Gunn could potentially write and direct the upcoming Suicide Squad 2. TheWrap exclusively learned this, which would be incredibly interesting, though; not the first time for someone to make the jump between Marvel and DC.

Before the controversy, Gunn was a very admired director, with the Guardians of the Galaxy movies among the most popular within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The sequel to Suicide Squad, which was directed by David Ayer; had been pushed back and had a very unique style for the DCEU. One could argue based on its killer soundtrack and bright colors throughout the film that it was the GotG of the DC Extended Universe. Given Gunn’s knack for good music in the films and his use of fun and sarcasm, while not having anything being taken too seriously, it could actually be a good new mixup that the movie needs to be better received with critics.
