A first look at Katherine Langford’s role in Netflix’s opening ‘Cursed’ series was released online. This retelling of an Arthurian tale will follow Nimue (Langford) taking a different path from becoming the Lady in the Lake.
Joining Langford is Vikings and Westworld’s Gustaf Skarsgard. The Swedish actor has confirmed on Instagram that he will be playing the well-known character Merlin the Magician.
‘Cursed’ will hit Netflix in 2020. Here is the official description:
“A re-imagining of Arthurian legend, told through the eyes of Nimue, a teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake. After her mother’s death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a young mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword. Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying red paladins, and their complicit King Uther.”
