A pink cartoon narwhal wearing a crown and skirt holds a unicorn doll, jumping happily next to a surprised panda. Palm trees, confetti, and a rainbow appear in the background.

In September 2023, Oni Press published the first book in Kayla Coombs and HF Brownfield’s Quinnelope series. Right from the start, ‘Quinnelope and the Cookie King Catastrophe‘ captured readers’ attentions and hearts. Since then, they followed up with ‘Quinnelope and the Mystery of the Missing Moon,’ which also garnered high praise from readers and critics alike.

Coming July 22nd, Brownfield and Coombs are bringing the third book in this delightful series to readers: ‘Quinnelope and the Unicorn Utopia.’

Book cover of "Quinnelope and the Unicorn Utopia," showing a pink cat with a unicorn horn, a unicorn, a panda, rainbows, and confetti in a colorful cartoon city.

It’s Quinnelope’s favorite day of the year: Rainbow Day! Everyone in Pleasant Towne is celebrating with all things multicolored, including a technicolor parade. But Quinnelope’s prismatic party plans screEeEeEEECH to a halt when she’s told unicorns aren’t real. Oh dear! It’s a Rainbow Day IMAGINASTROPHE! (“Imagination catastrophe,” as Quinnelope would say.) Devastated by this discovery, Quinnelope is joined by her friends Star and Bub on a quest to Unicorn Island, a dazzling destination that will surely be home to a real unicorn . . . right?! But when the trio arrive to find a colorless curse instead of a mythical one-horned creature, they begin to regret coming to this unicorn utopia. Can Quinnelope and her friends break the curse and escape to tell the tale? And will they EVER find a real unicorn??

Join Quinnelope, Bub, and Star on this tropical friends-to-enemies-to-friends-again adventure on an island hiding a monochromatic secret. Grab your snorkeling gear and deck yourself out in your favorite rainbow outfit in Quinnelope and the Unicorn Utopia, perfect for fans of DogMan and InvestiGators!

Thanks to the creators Kayla Coombs, HF Brownfield, and Oni Press, we are pleased to present this exclusive page reveal for Volume 3 of the series.

    QUINNELOPE AND THE UNICORN UTOPIA

A cartoon character rides an underwater scooter with another character, commenting on the underwater view; a panda waves and greets a group of yellow fish. A pink cartoon sea creature greets seaweed and bubbles; the seaweed blinks in response, while the bubbles react with surprised silence. A cartoon star says "’Ello, Eel!" as an eel lunges at a pink blob with a crown riding a tricycle, a panda waves, and lightning bolts with "ZAP" surround them. A star with a shocked expression speaks from above water, while a panda and a pink blob ride a tricycle underwater; a dolphin jumps near a rainbow in the background. A cartoon dolphin jumps from the sea under a rainbow while a pink creature on a scooter points and shouts about following the dolphin to Unicorn Island. The sun smiles in the sky. A cartoon star and pink sea creature race on a tandem bike at the beach. The star mentions fingers; the sea creature boasts about pedal power. Text bubble shows, “ZOOOOOM!!”.
