Pretend that all my reviews of Halloween after part two never happened. Dr. Loomis shot Michael six times saving Laurie Strode, then later that night blew up himself trying to stop Myers. Silver Shamrock never killed off the kids of the east coast. Jamie Loyd was never born, never killed, and never gave birth. Haddenfield never gained any more heroes and never plagued by any more than the 2 nights of horror committed by Michael Myers.
Laurie has been hiding out in California, becoming a dean of a college, having a handsome in Josh Harnet, and even dating one of her subordinates. With a fake identity, she’s put that awful night behind her. Until exactly 20 years later. Michael, in a new white mask, steals a car and heads to California to pay his baby sis a visit…
Don’t worry, no big names were killed off in this film. Not even Michael Myers! Sure, SOMEONE in a white mask gets decapitated by Laurie, but it wasn’t him. No, I’m not in denial; no, I’m no pull a hashtag “not my Michael/Halloween/Slasher”. No, Michael crushed a guy’s voice box, put the mask on him, got him to attack Laurie which causes her to crash, pinning the guy who never takes the mask off, and gets his head seperated from his body.
Laurie is put in a mental institute. But that doesn’t stop Michael from breaking in. Laurie traps him but doubts it may be him because of her past mistake. Her hesitation is her last mistake, as Michael final kills his sister in the sequel, Halloween Resurrection.
Now on to Josh Harnet! No, psych! It’s a story about Michael going home and kills crappy people who ruined his home. Then a remake that misses the point of what Michael is and it’s sequel which mistakes him for Jason Voorhees. And now in this year 2018, we have a new sequel to the original Halloween, with the return of Laurie.
