Resident Evil’s upcoming film may bring Hannah John-Kamen in to join the cast. The Ant-Man and the Wasp’s villain has reportedly been offered the role of Jill Valentine. The reboot will follow the same plot from the video games, which surrounds an investigation of the zombie infection and outbreak in Raccoon City from the games.
Previously it was reported that Brenton Thwaites and Kaya Scodelario were being eyed for the roles of Chris and Claire Redfield, but there’s no official confirmation yet on either front.
John-Kamen’s characters is described as a “small-town girl that enjoys hunting with the guys”. Reportedly, the studio had opened the casting up to women of any ethnicity, but were focusing on casting an African-American actress of a mixed heritage.
It should be noted that no one has confirmed this yet, not even John-Kamen. So, as of now, this remains a rumor. What do you think of this casting?
