Hannibal Showrunner Is Hopeful Series Will Get a Fourth Season

In case you didn’t know, Hannibal is on Netflix. The popular show has gained a bit of a following in the past few years, despite having been canceled after three seasons. Still, fans can relive those three seasons now on the streaming service. This all begs the question: will Netflix revive this popular series for a fourth season?

During a Zoom meeting with Nerdist, the entire cast of Hannibal joined. During this, showrunner Bryan Fuller expressed:

“I am very hopeful. The great thing about the fact that if we are going to be meeting them and it takes five, six, seven years until we’re meeting them, that’ll just be how long they’ve been on the lam.”

Fuller also added enthusiastically:

“Believe me, if we get a season four, with all the mind palace bullshit of Will Graham’s broken mind, everyone is coming back.”

Hannibal featured Mads Mikkelsen as Hannibal Lecter, a character largely made popular by Sir Anthony Hopkins’s portrayal in 1991 The Silence of the Lambs Film. Fuller was also involved in American Gods season one. And Steve Lightfoot, who was an EP for the show; went on to work for Netflix for The Punisher seasons one and two. With Netflix in the business of reviving shows canceled by other networks, could Hannibal be next?
