HBO To Premiere Limited Series The Third Day Starring Jude Law and Naomie Harris in September

The Third Day is an upcoming limited series that will stream on HBO Max. Debuting September 14th, the show was created by Felix Barrett and Dennis Kelly. The Third Day will consist of six episodes and be divided as “Summer” and “Winter”.

Summer will consist of the first three episodes. Summer will star Jude Law. Law will play Sam, who is a man drawn to a mysterious island on the British coast. There, he encounters a group of islanders who will preserve the island’s traditions. This means at any cost necessary. Sam becomes unable to leave this new world he’s discovered. Soon, the boundaries between fantasy and reality begin fragmenting. This leads Sam to discover the shocking secret of the island. This story arc is written by Dennis Kelly and directed by Marc Munden.

The second half of the series is called Winter. Naomie Harris will star as Helen. Helen is a strong-willed woman who travels to the island in search for answers. As an outsider, though; her arrival contorts the line between fantasy and reality. A battle for this arises and who knows how it will end. Winter is written by Kit De Waal, Dean O’Loughlin, and Kelly. Summer was directed by Philippa Lowthorpe.

Katherine Waterston, Emily Watson, and Paddy Considine also join The Third Day.
