Big Little Lies is one of those shows that absolutely grabbed a hold of me and refused to let go. With strong writing, talented actors, and a powerful story, this HBO show based on a novel of the same name, is returning for a second season. The first ended with Perry’s death, who was the insanely abusive husband of Celeste. Alexander Skarsgard and Nicole Kidman both gave jaw-dropping performances as their respective characters, as well as everyone else. The viewers know who killed Perry, but the investigation within the series is ongoing, and we will see in season two if the lie everyone is holding onto completely unravels.

Big Little Lies will return on June 9th of this year, where we see Meryl Streep making her debut as Perry’s mother, who is looking for answers as to why her son is dead.
