While the show already has huge names involved such as Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, and Ed Harris, Banderas is a huge name to add to the series. According to That Hashtag Show, details are being kept under wraps, which isn’t too surprising considering the franchise loves to tease audiences with twists and turns. It is said that Banderas is being eyed for a villain role, similar to Javier Bardem’s character in the movie Skyfall.
Showrunner Lisa Joy shared what we can expect for the upcoming season:
“It’s going to be a whole new world. This series is about reinvention and scope. The first season was a more intimate look at the park from within the loops. In the second season, the hosts broke out of their loops and were able to explore more of the park. In the third season, they’ve broken out of the park itself. We’re in a new terra incognita. From the beginning, when Jonah and I were thinking about the series as far back as the pilot, we knew we wanted to explore other worlds in the park, and we also knew the one world we would start to see little glimpses of throughout the first two seasons was the real world, and that we would get there eventually – and when we did, it would be a whole new experience.”
Westworld season two was a crazy ride for sure and if they could deliver that to us, I can only imagine what we’ll get in season three. Although Ben Barnes’ character, Logan; essentially closed out his storyline, he’s a fan favorite, so who knows if he’ll return? Personally, I’m still gunning for Gustaf Skarsgard’s Karl Strand to make an appearance. But As of now, the cast is: Evan Rachel Wood, Anthony Hopkins, Jimmi Simpson, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Luke Hemsworth, Talulah Riley, Louis Herthum, Angela Sarafyan, Thandie Newton, Ed Harris, and Aaron Paul.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
