Henry Cavill is becoming a hot commodity. With his popular performance as the Man of Steel and his highly-praised role in the latest Mission Impossible: Fallout movie, Cavill has now been cast in the upcoming Witcher series. This show will be premiering on Netflix and will be based more on the novels rather than the video games. In a recent Instagram post, the Superman actor revealed that he will be playing Geralt of Rivia, which should definitely excite fans of this popular realm.
In Witcher, Geralt is a swordsman for hire, who uses his genetically enhanced powers to slay monsters. The novels were written by Andrzej Sapkowski and the character is brought to life in Video Game form by Doug Cockle. Cavill himself is a fan of this series, so I’m glad he’s able to land this project. We’ll let you know more as we hear more!
