While we know Hugh Jackman will always be Wolverine in our hearts, we also know that Jackman has permanently hung up his claws. Sorry, Ryan Reynolds, as much as we would all love an actual interaction between Jackman’s Wolverine and Reynolds’s Deadpool, it’s unfortunately never going to happen. And Jackman made sure to set the records straight.

This latest line of questioning stems from Jackman starring in Jason Reitman’s upcoming movie, The Front Runner. Yahoo had asked if Jackman would be returning as the mutant, because of Reitman helming the latest Deadpool project.
“I love Jason Reitman, and I actually — for all I say — you know I love Ryan Reynolds,” Jackman said. “But right now Ryan, sorry buddy, you’re gonna have to work harder than that.”
Hugh Jackman gave one hell of a performance in Logan, which some praise as Jackman finally being given the freedom to give us the Wolverine we always wanted. With an R-rating, we were able to see the mutant curse and slice his way through foes, without the restriction of a lesser rating. For Wolverine to return, as great as it would be to see; would almost wipe away the swan song that was ‘Logan’.
“I already miss him as Logan, so I’m one of those guys that whenever I see him, I’m like, ‘Come on, man. Just one more. Come on. We’ll do it together. It’ll be fun. Come on! On three. Here we go, together. One, two, three, together,’ and it’s always just me saying it.” – Reynolds expressed.
