According to SuperBroMovies. Blumhouse is currently developing a Hack/Slash movie based on the Image Comics series. Back in 2015 The Hollywood Reporter actually broke a story saying the Hack/Slash comic was being adapted for television and would echo AMC’s The Walking Dead in terms of grit and would appeal more to adult viewers. The show would have been produced by Relativity Media.
The Hack/Slash comic series was created in 2004 by Tim Seeley and Stefano Caelli, focuses on the monster hunting heroine Cassie Hack, who will be the titular star in the new Blumhouse produced the project. The film will focus on her as she preys on undead “slashers” across the country alongside her partner, Vlad. The movie will be shooting for an R-rating as to not water down the slasher elements.
