2019 is a happy year for us 90s kids, especially with the upcoming 4th installment of the Toy Story franchise. With a new Russian calendar surfacing on Instagram, we get a little bit of a look at the characters we’ll see returning, along with new ones.
As you can from the image below, we have Buzz and Woody, along with Bo Peep, and newcomer Forky. There’s a carnival in the background, which was featured in the second teaser for the film.
There’s also a translation for the description in the image, which reads:
“Since Andy went to college, toys have moved to a new house where a small girl named Bonnie lives. Her first day in kindergarten will put a beginning to adventures and meeting new toys, some of the old friends and even a romantic story.”
This is just a guestimate and with it not being from an official source, we aren’t entirely sure how legitimate this all is. Either way, it would fall into what the third movie led up to, which were the toys being with a new child to enjoy, as Andy has grown up, and went to college. Cue tears; when andy grew up, so did we all.
This is the official synopsis released last year:
“Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Directed by Josh Cooley (Riley’s First Date?) and produced by Jonas Rivera (Inside Out, Up) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer Inside Out), Disney•Pixar’s Toy Story 4 ventures to U.S. theaters on June 21, 2019.”
Toy Story 4 will hit theaters June 21st. Will you be one of the many adults who grew up on Toy Story hitting the movies?
