Led by Visual Effects Supervisors Hayden Jones and Jonathan Privett, as well as Executive Producers Louise Hussey and Stefan Drury, this team is the same one that worked together previously on Netflix’s Black Mirror which earned them a BAFTA win in the VFZ category.

The head of ILM, Executive Creative Director Rob Bredow; stated:

“It’s not often you get to create a new division at Industrial Light & Magic. We are seeing a real convergence in our creative approach used on films and in our immersive entertainment division ILMxLAB, and now we’re proud to be able to offer these ILM innovations in a way that’s suitable for streaming and television work to creatives around the world.”

The Mandalorian, the division’s first upcoming project; will be helmed by Iron Man’s director Jon Favreau and bring in the talent of Bryce Dallas Howard and Taika Waititi. Considering these creative individuals are going to be on the project, it’s looking good for the upcoming Mandalorian.

ILM TV will also be taking on the Superman prequel series Krypton, which you can find on the SYFY channel.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
