[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Iron Fist just dropped a full-length trailer for their upcoming second season and may I say that this is a vast improvement from what we saw from season one. If the trailer is any indication of how the season will actually be, then we’re going to see a real turn around for Iron Fist. Season one currently has an 18% rate on Rotten Tomatoes, not a very good rating for Netflix Marvel, which has overall been received positively by viewers. The trailer, to me; is an indication that everyone involved in the making of the second season truly had an open mind to listen about what the problems were and how to spruce up their show to ensure people kept watching and actually looked forward to it.
When Iron Fist season 2 comes out on September 7th, it will not have the usual 13-episode lineup we are used to. Besides The Defenders, which was promoted as a miniseries; all full-length shows have had a baker’s dozen. With the low ratings and the unnecessary drawn out storyline of season one, it’s been decided to chop off a few episodes in order to give a better, sharper season. With only ten episodes in season two, this marks the first full-length show without 13 episodes in the Marvel Netflix realm. I know a lot of people have been contemplating whether all the other shows should follow suit, but I saw back away, everyone; leave the 13 episode lineup alone. I couldn’t imagine Luke Cage season two or The punisher season one having less content; so, just no.
In Iron Fist season two, we will see Danny having to go against his old friend Davos in what looks like a darker, edgier season. We’ll see the return of Danny’s awesome companion Colleen, as well as Ward Meachum, and Joy Meachum. We will also see the introduction of Typhoid Mary; just another villain that the Iron Fist will have to contend with this season.
