If it hasn’t been painfully obvious, I’m very upset that iZombie’s upcoming season will be its last. Remember when we all were putting out positive vibes on Twitter hashtagging #RenewiZombie and then we got the joyous news that the CW would get a fifth season. Then we were told that the fifth season would be the end for this quirky zombie show. I don’t think I’ll ever not be upset over this, but on the positive side, things are in full-swing for the final season, and according to TV Line, fan favorite Peyton will have a more predominate role.
Actress Aly Michalka stated:
“She has a lot of responsibility now on her plate. She goes through some rough stuff with her job about halfway through the season, so it’ll be interesting to see where she ends at the very end, if she’s still the acting mayor or if that job has been pulled out from under her.”
On top of this, Peyton will also be at odds with Major, who is now the head of Filmore Graves. Major has been questionable for the past few seasons, so how he chooses to run the corporation after Chase Graves’s death will be interesting to watch.
