Jack O’Connell To Join Matt Reeve’s ‘THE BATMAN’?

With the large number of rumors that have been discussed since Ben Affleck’s Batman situation has been in limbo, one of the most prominent is that the Matt Reeves’ The Batman film might provide an opportunity for Warner Bros. to introduce a new Batman.

While Affleck is no longer directing the film, he still serves as one of the film’s producers. According to a report from That Hashtag Show  they have been told that Affleck’s recently documented visit to Warner Bros. studio was on business related to his role as Producer. The reported purpose of this visit was to meet with an actor who may have been cast as the studio’s new Bruce Wayne/Batman. This news was actually broke by our friend Mario F. Robles with Revenge of the Fans a few weeks back.

This is certainly not the first time that it’s been suggested that Affleck has been replaced, and it could very well have been to see who will fill the cape and cowl. Of course they could been searching for someone to fill the role of Dick Grayson or Tim Drake and that is why Affleck met with the actor. Sounds like it produces more questions than answers. As to who the actor in question is, the name that was given as a potential replacement for Affleck (or some other Bat-family member) was Jack O’Connell.

The 28-year old O’Connell is most known for his roles as Louis Zamperini in Unbroken and as Roy Goode on the Netflix series Godless. At this time, none of this information has been confirmed by either the studio or by O’Connell’s representatives which is why it is being filed in the extremely full rumor folder.

So as far as rumors go, how do you feel about Jack O’Connell filling the Batman boots? Share your thoughts about this rumor with us at GVNation.
