The answer to that question might be yes as Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Gunn’s representatives are indeed talking to Warner Bros. about directing this new version of Suicide Squad, which at this time is called The Suicide Squad. This would be good news to those who thought Gunn got a raw deal with his outing from Marvel over some old tweets that surfaced.
Gunn is thought to be taking the film in a different direction with a new cast and different characters. As of this moment, Suicide Squad 2 is tentatively scheduled for an August 2021 release.
