Sometimes, getting injured while on set is part of the job. Tom Cruise, a man known for performing most of his stunts; gets knocked around and hurt all the time. This is just a small example of what could happen while filming a movie or tv show. Even if you have a stunt double, there are scenes you must do yourself and as a part of your craft, it’s always a possibility that you could have an accident.
While filming IT: Chapter Two, James McAvoy reportedly has gotten injured during a scuffle between his character and Pennywise. In the first IT movie, the kids do battle against the terrifying monster, but now that they’re adults I’m sure the kind of interactions they’ll have will be different. With an adult to contend with, I wonder what the fight scene was that caused McAvoy to get hurt.
As you can see from his comments on his Instagram post, McAvoy is in good spirits despite his injury. The scene between he and Bill Skarsgard must have been strenuous and I look forward to seeing Bill Denbrough go up against Pennywise himself.
