[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”4106″ img_size=”900×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]If you can’t get enough of James Wan, DC fans can revel in the fact that not only is he bringing Aquaman to the big screen, but Swamp Thing to DC Universe. Gary Dauberman joins Wan and Mark Verheiden in this new series about the transformation of Alec Holland into Swamp Thing.
Wan teases that there will be more creatures than just the title character:
“Of course, that’s part of the appeal. I have an amazing team of showrunners and writers on this. Just like I was with Aquaman, we’re very respectful to the source material with Swamp Thing as well.”
Wan didn’t divulge who we’d see, but did talk about the Swamp Thing comics that inspired the series, and therefore we can surmise who will pop up based on this:
“We’re a big fan of Alan Moore’s take on it so picking a particular story and using that as the foundation to kick it off,” Wan said. “If we’re lucky, we can have many other stories to tell.”
Swamp Thing will hit DC Universe in 2019!
