Jamie Lee Curtis Is In Talks To Join Eli Roth’s ‘Borderlands’

Jamie Lee Curtis is in talks  to star in Borderlands, the film adaptation of the 2009 video game. Curtis will play the role of Dr. Tannis a non-playable character in the game.

Director Eli Roth released a statement about the casting.

“Working with the iconic Jamie Lee Curtis has been a life long dream of mine, and I am so excited for her to bring her humor, warmth and brilliance to the role of Tannis.”

Curtis joins a cast that already includes Cate Blanchett as Lilith, a legendary thief and Kevin Hart as soldier Roland.

Lionsgate is banking on Borderlands to be a tentpole franchise going forward. Video game movies have had a mixed history of success at best, so we’ll see if this talented cast can provide Lionsgate the boost they’re looking for.
