Jason Blum Offers Update on Upcoming Paranormal Activity Movie

Paranormal Activity is alive!

While the franchise has previously been concluded with its sixth film, a new movie will hit theaters on March 19, 2021. What can we expect from it? Will it feature its “found footage” flair? Producer Jason Blum revealed:

“The answer is, I don’t know. I guess we’re about to find out, but I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. It’s something that we’re talking about, but I don’t know what it’s going to wind up being….We’re writing the treatment. That’s it.”

Paranormal Activity brought back the “found footage” horror genre and has become a staple in modern-day horror films. While it seems like horror is trying to have a new take on its same ol’ same ol’ with Get Out, A Quiet Place, and Invisible Man, horror movie franchises of yesteryear have been popping up. Such as Halloween 2018 and now, apparently; Paranormal Activity.
