I’m at the age where I remember Jessica Alba as one of the regulars cast in nearly everything. She was virtually everywhere – from Fantastic Four to Good Luck Chuck and more. Alba was one of the handful of actresses thrown into nearly every project you can imagine – Sin City, Never Been Kissed, and more. Alba got her big role on Dark Angel – a James Cameron-created sci-fi series.
Jensen Ackles also played a character in Dark Angel – Ackles was also an up-and-coming actor who went on to play one of the leads on The CW’s Supernatural (and who has landed a role on Amazon Prime’s The Boys). While Ackles appeared on the podcast Inside of You, he opened up about what it was like to work with Alba on Dark Angel:
“No. She was horrible.”
This was in response to actor Michael Rosenbaum’s question if Alba was cool to work with. Alba thought Ackles was a “pretty boy that the network brought in for some more window dressing.”
Now, this may seem as if Ackles disliked Alba altogether, however, he added [later in the podcast and not really shared on social media] that he and Alba supported each other:
“I love Jess, which I know kind of contradicts what I just said. She was under an immense amount of pressure on that show. She was young, she was in a relationship, and that was rocky and causing some undue stress.”
