[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”15945″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]While it’s not possible for us to see The Defenders on any other broadcaster except Netflix for about two years, Marvel TV Head Jeph Loeb states that he would not be surprised if shows like Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist were resurrected somewhere else:
“I would not be surprised if any of those things reemerged,” Loeb mentioned. “It depends on showrunner, it depends on availability of cast, all of those things. It’s not like we’re a doctor show where the show got canceled because of bad ratings.”
“These are shows that have very different reasons [for ending],” the producer continued. “Most of which I’m not at liberty to talk about, nor should anyone really care at the end of day.”
Daredevil was one of Netflix’s most successful show and we all know that it was not canceled due to poor reception. We would all love, and most of us need; these shows to find a new home, but as Daredevil star Amy Rutberg states:
“There is this very real contract with Netflix,” Daredevil star Amy Rutberg previously revealed. “I had heard 18 months, maybe it’s 2 years. I suppose it’s possible that Marvel could buy them out, but I have not heard so much as a whisper.”
Hulu is preparing for some Marvel animated series, so even if we have to wait two years, I’m sure all of us agree that it is worth the wait. For now, you can still catch up with these Marvel shows on Netflix and look forward to Jessica Jones season three, which is the last of the Netflix MCU to have a final season.
Loeb also said there are more shows in the works but did not elaborate on what shows or give much detail other than saying
“In terms of the future,” Loeb says. “There are quite a few things that we can’t talk about yet and when we start to, I think people will start to go ‘Oh, the restaurant wasn’t closing. You just have a new menu because you have a fabulous new chef. Got it, I’ll be there Thursday.'”
