Jessica Jones Will Not Feature Kilgrave; David Tennant Comments on Cancellation

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”17499″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]David Tennant’s Kilgrave was one of the best villains in the Marvel Netflix universe, so much so that he showed up in season two of Jessica Jones despite his character having been killed in season one. Jessica Jones may have been canceled, but the streaming service is still putting out its third season as it had already been filmed by the time Netflix had decided to end its contract with Marvel.

With Kilgrave having popped up in season two, it does beg the question if he would show up in season three. Well, Tennant himself confirms that he is not in the third season and he commented on the show’s “cancellation” in an EW interview:

“I don’t really regard it as a cancellation so much as something having the life that it should have,” the actor said. “Three seasons of that story is great. Rather than thinking of it as something that was canceled, I think of it as something that had three seasons that will live in the memory.”

Fans will say that it’s a shame that Netflix did decide to “cancel” all of their shows, as we know that there are more stories that could have spawned out of the shows. Jessica Jones season three will premiere sometime early in the summer and you can catch Tennant in Amazon Prime’s upcoming show Good Omens on May 31st.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
