While we aren’t sure what the future of Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke holds, we can at least discuss what could have been. Manganiello was heavily teased to be the main villain in Ben Affleck’s Batman movie, but after everything with the studio, it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting Manganiello outside of Snyder’s 4-hour director’s cut. Deathstroke also had his own movie in the works with Gareth Evans, something Manganiello was very excited for.
In a recent interview, Manganiello teased:
“Some of the regular Batman characters that show up in the films were not going to make it through. It would have been a cleaning house in a lot ways.”
What do you think of this? Some heavy bets lean toward Commissioner Gordon, possibly Alfred. Who do you think Deathstroke would have killed? And are you disappointed that we may not see Manganiello as Deathstroke again?
