Joe Russo Sheds Light on a Deleted Scene from Age of Ultron

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”19024″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]With so many successes under Marvel’s belt, we can all agree that Avengers: Age of Ultron was…not the studio’s best. As the second Avengers movie, it could not compare to the original Avengers film and certainly can easily be forgotten in light of Infinity War. There were choppy sequences, a terribly executed and unwarranted romance, and fillers scenes that went on for far too long. Ultron should have been an interesting villain, but he could not hold up to Loki’s performance in the previous installment.

Infinity War and Endgame co-director Joe Russo was speaking about Avengers: Age of Ultron, stating that there had been a scene that was left on the cutting room floor that was inspired by an Indian film:

“Sharing his passion for Indian films such as Dabanngg – ‘I haven’t gotten around to seeing Dabanng 2 yet’ – Russo said that Rajinikanth-starrer Robot came very close to influencing a previous Marvel movie. “Interesting story, that I think will be a really good headline tomorrow,” Russo said, “is that Robot almost influenced the climactic moment in Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

He continued:

“So you know, in Robot, where all the robots form a snake? All the Ultrons in Ultron came together to form a large Ultron, but it had to get cut for time.”

It’s interesting that Russo has knowledge of this idea, considering it was Joss Whedon who directed Age of Ulton, but it could have been something that has been talked of since, which would have made for a pretty interesting scene in an overall, lackluster film.

What do you think of Age of Ultron and would you like to have seen the scene described above?
